Porter kicked me!

Sure, I know what it feels like to have a baby kick, but today I got to feel MY grandbaby kick. He kicked so hard my hand jumped! I am so proud of Sean and Jenna. All their hard work is paying off. Married almost 3 years, soon to be 2 Masters Degrees, new home, and baby on the way. Wow, I try not to brag, but it is really hard. I have to thank God for bringing them together in His timing.

I must go make a Pumpkin Pie and Sweet Potato Casserole. I love, love, love Thanksgiving. After being thankful, it's all about eating and family, my two favorite things.

Porter

The whole reason I made this blog is for Porter and future grand-children to be able to read and know how much they are loved, wanted and prayed over. When Sean and Jenna first said they wanted to find out the gender of the baby, Papa(Todd) did not want us to tell him. Well, no one told Jesse that, so when we found out the gender she sent Todd a text telling him. He was very shocked! He knew it was a girl and he thinks he is never wrong about anything. When we pray together at night he continued to pray for Jenna and "the baby". In the last week he has started to pray for Porter by name. The first time I heard it my heart was just so consumed with love. Thinking about Porter as a person instead of just the baby in Jenna's stomach is so different. I don't just wonder what he will look like, but what kind of boy, young man, and man he wil become. I'm so happy to think about the fact that he is being prayed for even before he is born.

Last weekend I got to spend the day with Jenna. Eating, shopping, eating some more, and just having fun looking at baby stuff. The time seems to be flying by. I'm sure the holidays will make it seem even quicker. My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving(all that food!). I'm already getting ready, planning menus, and looking at new recipes. I will be doing one new dish for sure. Nobody tell Jenna. She will love it, but it is a surprise. Names have been drawn for Christmas presents also. I always forget who got who, so this year I put the list in my Bible for save keeping. Now if I forget where I put it, everyone that reads this will know.

It's a ...

Thank you Jesus for this amazing, miracle, healthy. beautiful baby BOY. Technology is incredible. We got to see the baby's face; he has Sean's lips. We saw his little arms moving all over the place. He looked so comfortable and happy in there. Hope he's not too happy come March. I'm ready for him to be outta there. Wow, a boy. Jenna with a boy? What will she do? Be the best mom ever! I am so proud of Sean and Jenna. They will be amazing Godly parents.

One Day!!!

I can't believe tomorrow we will know what this sweet, precious little baby is. I totally have no opinion either way. Oh how I can not wait to hold he/she and snuggle and hear all the little sounds babies make. I have no idea what it is going to feel like to hold my grandchild. I guess the whole mother bear feelings apply to grandchildren also, because I feel ferociously protective of this little one.

Let you know tomorrow!!!

One Week!!!

I know I keep saying that time is flying, but it really is. In one week Sean and Jenna will find out what the baby is. It seems like they just told everyone they were expecting, now they're almost half way. This little baby is sooooo loved already. It seems about all we talk about around here is "the baby". Emma and I saw some of the cutest clothes yesterday, and it's really hard not to buy them. I never knew that little baby boy dress shirts(button up)were made like a onesie so it stays tucked in. It was so tiny and cute. Then there was the pale pink little smocked gown. Oh my I think my bank account is in Trouble!

On another note, I'm totally in to Christmas shopping. There's only one problem, I can not for the life of me remember where I hide stuff. Emma said I don't have to hide stuff, that her and Will won't look-yeah right. I did find a little something for Sean, no not a power tool, in case your reading this. Some people are so hard to buy for(Sean, Jesse)!

I rarely get to drive my own car anymore. I think Will and Emma are secretly competing to see who will get their license first. I did call State Farm this week to see how much it will be to add them on our insurance. I just about passed out! I really had no clue.

Todd and I had dinner with Jesse last Saturday. She made the best pizza ever. It had chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, ricotta cheese and mozarella cheese, I think that was all. It was so good. Then a dessert pizza with Nutella and white chocolate and milk chocolate chips. Back to counting points, if you know what I mean.

2 Weeks!!!!!!!!!!!

In 2 weeks we will know if Little Bear is a boy or a girl!!! I'm so excited about seeing the ultrasound. We pray each night for Jenna and the baby to be healthy.

I am so ready to hold this little baby and rock him or her. Todd asked how much longer last night. How funny! We told him that Jenna is 18 weeks. He said, "what does that mean?" Emma and I both pounced and said she's almost half way! I better step up the diaper buying. I put everything on hold until we know the gender. I don't know why I quit buying diapers, they're not gender specific.

There are three little words that I have grown to hate-CAN I DRIVE. I was just thinking the other day that in a few months I will never have to teach another child to drive. WooHoo!!! My two least favorite things about being a mom are: immunizations(poor sweet little unsuspecting baby) and teaching children to drive. See what you have to look forward to, Jenna.

Where To Start

Jenna's doing great. Little Bear is growing, heartbeat 150. Sean and Jenna got the crib and dresser/changing table bought. I get to go to the ultrasound to determine the s*x of the baby, in three and one half weeks.

I wish I knew how to download pics. Jenna is so pretty pregnant!

Papa made a realy big bookshelf for our bedroom. I started a Nonni shelf. I want to put a rocking chair beside it so I can sit and read to Little Bear. I have been in a cleaning frenzy- closets, cabinets, storage room. I want to be available to Jenna and the baby when the time comes, and I don't want to be thinking of all the things I need to be doing at home. I want them done now. I'm pretty sure I'm driving everyone crazy, because sometimes organization has to get worse before it gets better.

And Jenna has felt the baby move.
